At home on March 31, 2024, aged 84, Richard, (well known around Juniper Green and Currie and a founding member of the Pentlands Book Festival), beloved husband of the late Julie, father of Paul, Brigid, Dominic and Peter and much loved grandfather. Funeral at Mortonhall Crematorium Main Chapel, Edinburgh on Friday 19th April 2024, at 1pm, to which all family and friends are invited. Richard will be sorely missed by so many of us. I had the pleasure of serving with him on the Pentlands Book Festival Committee and his was always a warm, welcoming and intelligent presence there. I will miss his wisdom, his compassion, his fiery fight for social justice and his profound connection with and love of nature.
